Introduction
An important part of our professional
nursing practice is the ongoing development of knowledge. We
consistently strive to provide “Best Practice” for our patients and
families, and know that these practices must be determined by sound
research rather than by clinician preferences or traditions. Current
research findings can help solve clinical problems, improve outcomes,
introduce new technology, support cost-effective changes, and understand
patient perspectives.
The NICU Nursing Research Journal Club
seeks to provide nurses with an opportunity to regularly participate in
reading, reviewing and understanding professional literature and
published studies.
With
the support of the Lee Memorial Health System Center for Nursing
Research & Practice Development, nurses can continue to develop skills
in evidence-based practice and primary nursing research.
