Q. What is the
nursing internship program?
A. The nursing internship programs are designed to facilitate
the transition from graduate nurse to practicing nurse by providing
the framework for clinical knowledge and skills development
necessary in the development of a professional leadership role.
These programs enable the nursing intern to balance personal and
professional growth. In addition, the program also provides
experienced nurses who are changing specialties an opportunity to
become acclimated to the acute care setting, or to advance their
careers in a given specialty. The intern is paid while completing
the necessary classroom and clinical experiences.
