Class Descriptions
SPACE IS LIMITED!!
Please register early for all classes (no later than by the end
of 4th month of pregnancy)! Payment must accompany registration.
You will receive a confirmation of your registration by return
mail, fax, or email.
CHILDBIRTH
PREPARATION
1 SATURDAY or 4 WEEKNIGHTS $60
Classes should be completed approximately 3 weeks before
baby is due. Please register early (before third trimester) for
class to assure first choice. Space is limited!
A unique childbirth course
taught by nurses who are nationally certified by the
International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA). The
birthing process, choices in obstetrics, breathing, relaxation,
Cesarean-section preparation and Mother/Baby care are only a few
of the topics covered in the course. A tour of the birthing
facilities, films and fundamentals of the birthing bed are
highlights of the course.
Offered on a rotation
schedule at HealthPark Medical Center and Gulf Coast Medical
Center Office Building.

CHILDBIRTH
PREPARATION HOME STUDY COURSE $100
On bed rest? Too late to make a full series of classes?
Schedule too tight? Then the Childbirth Home Study Course is for
you! A packet of materials (including comprehensive DVDs), a
private meeting with a certified instructor and a tour of the
birthing facilities will prepare you for the new arrival!
Available at HealthPark
Medical Center and Cape Coral Hospital. For more information,

CHILDBIRTH REFRESHER
TWO 2-HOUR CLASSES $35
Attendance: In the beginning of the last trimester of
pregnancy. Classes should be completed approximately 3 weeks
before baby is due.
A review course for couples
who have attended a childbirth class from a previous pregnancy.
Content includes labor and birth preparation, breathing and
relaxation techniques, new trends and options in birthing, and a
tour of the birthing facilities.
Offered on a rotating
schedule at HealthPark Medical Center.
