Discount Program
At Lee Memorial Health
System, we are concerned about our patients and their families.
We understand that health care expenses are often unexpected and
paying for services can be overwhelming. This is especially true
if you do not have health insurance.
Patient Discount Program
Lee Memorial Health System, in accordance with our mission,
has developed a discount program to help our patients who do not
have health insurance. The program provides significant
discounts for uninsured patients who receive hospital services
and meet certain financial criteria. This discount program is in
addition to our charity programs for patients with income below
200 percent of the federal poverty level.
Who is eligible for the
discount?
Most patients without health insurance whose income is below
400 percent of the federal poverty level will qualify for the
discount program. The amount of the discount depends on family
income and the number of dependents.
The amount of the discount
ranges from 30 to 40 percent. The discount does not apply to
co-payments and deductibles from Medicare, Medicaid, Champus or
other health insurance companies.
Who do I contact
regarding the Lee Memorial Health System discount?
Before you are discharged from the hospital, please contact
one of the hospital's Financial Counselors to apply for the
discount program. Proof of income (pay stubs, tax forms) may be
required to verify level of discount.

What happens to the rest
of my bill?
You will need to pay the remaining balance of the bill in a
timely manner. Our Financial Counselors will be happy to assist
you with payment options.
