The Regional Cancer Center offers monthly support groups that are
designed to support and educate patients and families. The support groups offer
information on their
cancer diagnoses, treatments, ways to manage side effects/complications of treatment,
as well as emotional support. There
is no fee to attend any of our support groups, but seating is limited. It is best to contact
the group facilitator.
Brain Tumor Support Group meets
6:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at Lee Memorial
Hospital, 1st floor, Volunteer Conference Room, behind the library. Group is facilitated by Barbara Hardwick, RN, MSN,
oncology psychosocial clinical nurse specialist and by

Colorectal Cancer Support Group
meets 5:30-7 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Regional
Cancer Center,
2nd floor waiting area. Please call

Bladder Cancer Support Group
meets 3 - 5 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every other month, starting in March, at
the Regional Cancer Center. Please call

Lymphedema Support Group
meets October through May, 10:30 a.m.-noon on the second Saturday of each month at the Regional Cancer Center, 4th floor conference room.

Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Support Group meets
on the fourth Tuesday of each month, 3 p.m. - 4 p.m., at Gulf Coast Medical Center, Outpatient Rehabilitation. Please inquire at the

Ovarian Cancer Support Group
meets 2-4 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month on 6
North at Lee Memorial Hospital. Group

Yoga Classes
- no experience is needed. Cancer patients and primary caregiver are given
priority for class ($5 fee); $10 for all others
(the general public). Please bring your own blanket and towel. Class meets 9 -
10 a.m., each Friday at the Regional Cancer Center. Advanced registration is required,
