The Heart and Vascular Institute is proud to be a part of the Lee Memorial Health System
that is accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation for
Hospital Organizations (JCAHO). The Heart and Vascular Institute
has accreditations and
certifications from various organizations.

Chest Pain Center
Accreditation (CPC): CPC designation indicates that a
facility has made a commitment to providing patients with
consistent quality in the delivery of emergency care
based on national guidelines established by leaders in
cardiovascular and emergency medicine. This accreditation is
a true sign of excellence to the community. The
Chest Pain Center Accreditation has four cycle in the
accreditation process. The Heart and Vascular
Institute received Chest Pain Center Cycle I Accreditation
in 2005 and plans to apply for Cycle II Accreditation in
2008.

Echocardiography
Lab (ECHO), Intersocietal Commission of the Accreditation of
Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL) Accreditation:
The ECHO Labs within the Lee Memorial Health System are
accredited by the ICAEL ensure high quality
examinations by demonstrating proficiencies in the
performance of echocardiography studies.

Cardiac Rehabilitation,
American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary
Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Certified: The Cardiac
Rehabilitation programs at HealthPark Medical Center and
Cape Coral Hospital are certified by the AACVPR ensuring that an essential standard of care is provided.
