The gastrointestinal
surgery department at Lee Memorial Health System
provides comprehensive care for patients who are suffering from
diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, which includes the
esophagus, stomach, small and large bowel, pancreas, spleen and
adrenal glands. We also provide complete diagnostic and
therapeutic use of laparoscopy for problems such as
gastrointestinal bleeding, polyps and cancer.
LMHS also has a new
bariatric, or weight loss, surgery program, which is headed by
Dr. Moses Shieh.
