Amanda Burress

"Dr. Ybanez was on that night...you are so lucky to have him here, as we were to have him as her doctor. The combination of her injuries proved to be quite a challenge - I don't think he expected her to survive, but at the time, he was so calm and reassuring to us...I trusted him with all my heart. The way he talked to us and explained things with such care - that's a gift. He saved Amanda's life," says Vicki Richards, whose daughter, Amanda Burress, was taken by helicopter to the Trauma Center at Lee Memorial Hospital after a head-on vehicle crash.
