Donations will help provide prescriptions for uninsured patients. Any donation amount will be accepted, but as a guideline, $75 would provide approximately 3 generic prescriptions to uninsured patients.

MICROWAVE OVEN FOR PATIENT FAMILY MEMBERS

This microwave will be used for patient families in The Rehabilitation Hospital who spend many hours in the hospital with their loved ones. Having a microwave in the unit will allow family members to bring food from home and spend less money out-of-pocket on food while visiting family members in the hospital.

Wii COMPUTER GAME FOR LONG-TERM PATIENTS

With the purchase of a Wii game console, long-term adolescent and young adult patients will be able to take their minds off of daily hospital happenings and "act like a kid" by playing games and not focusing on treatment. Games improve the patient's concentration and help children avoid depression.
