Weight Loss or Bust: May 2, 2011

Setting a goal to lose weight or get in shape is a good first step, but many people have trouble sticking with it.

Leigh Ann and Allie are two friends with one goal. Leigh Ann tells us that she thought she needed to lose 20 pounds but found out she needed to lose 50.

She did, and now she would like to lose 10 more.

They are not alone, as millions of Americans get serious about getting fit.

Allie says that they were doing the circuit of the machines and doing some cardio and they just weren't seeing the results that they wanted.

A roomful of equipment can be intimidating, unless you know how to use it. Working with a trainer can set you up for success.

Lee Memorial Health System Exercise Specialist, Heather Sines puts Leigh Ann and Allie through the paces. She tells us that they have come such a long way. They came from not wanting to work out and me pushing them and pushing them and putting them on machines.

Research shows working with a trainer adds benefits by providing motivation, maintaining safety, teaching efficiency, creating individual programs and tracking goals.

Now Leigh Ann & Allie have been able do together what they couldn't do alone.
