Knee & Hip Pain Class
March 9, 2007

Everyday thousands of Southwest Florida residents struggle with knee and hip pain.

Every month Brian Carmichael holds a seminar for people who are weighing their options when it comes to the pain that they're dealing with. "The purpose of the knee and hip class is to help people understand the pain their having what we try to do is educate them on the anatomy, the healthy anatomy and the things that can go wrong and some of the remedy's that they can have."

So whether you've already had surgery or you're contemplating surgery this class can be for you. Joyce Borman says, "Well, I have problems with knee and hip and I going to have to have some surgery done I think pretty soon so I'm trying to get as much information as I can before the surgery so I can know what expect now and later."

Brian enjoys giving out the information that Joyce and other members of the class are looking for but he says that his job here on the orthopedic floor is even more satisfying. "I have the best job in the hospital, orthopedically we get to treat healthy patients that are going to get better."

And Joyce also says that she would highly recommend this class to anyone who is suffering with knee or hip pain. "I certainly would, the gentleman was very informative. He answered my questions."

The Knee & Hip Pain class is held the second Wednesday of every month in the private dining room at 10 am.

The next class is this coming Wednesday, March 14th. To register for this class, please call 239-454-8736.
