Anxiety and the Economy
March 28, 2009

More Americans are feeling anxious these days due to the job market and the economy.

But doctors prescribe a little exercise to boost those endorphin levels and reduce those worries. “These endorphins bring back our level of energy and bring down the level of anxiety and depression,” says Dr. Roldolfo Perez-Gallardo. Regular exercise can take your mind off your problems and in some cases, can actually help you focus on tasks and daily stresses that come your way.

Talking about some problems can also relieve some anxiety.“Talking to family, friends, pretty much voicing their stress through talking and conversation, that helps a lot,” explains Dr. Perez-Gallardo.

If you are still feeling anxious, you may want to consult your doctor to find the best remedy to alleviate your stress.
