Mother's Day
Air Date:  May 14, 2006

Mother's Day would not be complete if we didn't celebrate new mom's today and the joy of healthy newborn babies.

Cindi Mesmer and her husband were content with their two beautiful daughters and then a pleasant surprise just in time to enjoy for mother's day. "This time I just had a little boy, our third one. We had our two girls and we thought that was it, and then he came along and it was really special that he was a boy because my husband had always wanted a boy."

Little Colton joins older sisters Savannah & Dakota. And Cindi says as far as the birth went, the family couldn't have asked for a better experience. "Everyone was really nice, the nurses were great, the first one who went through my whole delivery, she was just awesome."

Labor & Delivery Nurse Allison Flinn says "When you're there you're just supportive. "I couldn't imagine doing any other kind of nursing."

Cindi shared with us how she thinks that becoming a mother made her a much better person. Prior to being a mom she was in the business world and kids were the last thing on her mind. "I was a court reporter and I had my business. Once I had Savannah, my first one, I've sold my business and I've stayed home with them ever since, and I've haven't regretted one day, I've really enjoyed being home with them."

Cindi is a lot like mother's everywhere, and that's one reason why we set aside this special day to celebrate mothers everywhere. Happy Mother's Day.

And Mother's day is busiest day of the year for American restaurants. On her special day, family members usually don't want mom to have to cook dinner.
