diabetes, weight management and weight loss surgery.
Lee Health Solutions began with just one program, Lee Diabetes
Care. Our success in helping those with diabetes to live better,
fuller, healthier lives convinced us to expand our services to help
those with other chronic conditions that diminish the quality of
life.
The prevalence and cost of chronic disease in the United States
is staggering:

About 90
million Americans suffer from at least one chronic condition.

Chronic conditions result in 70% of all deaths in the nation.

The medical costs for
patients with chronic disease makes up 75% of the nation’s $1.4
trillion in healthcare costs.

Nearly 21 million Americans have
diabetes, and
224,092 people die from it each
year.

Nearly 6.2 million
Americans have undiagnosed diabetes.

It is estimated that
127 million Americans are overweight, with another 69 million
Americans classified as obese (100 or more pounds above their
ideal body weight).

Approximately 5 million
Americans suffer from congestive heart failure, with 550,000 new
cases diagnosed annually.
