Memory Camps

Chatting with a friend or tackling a new Sudoku puzzle means much more than an afternoon of entertainment as we age. Being social, doing puzzles, reading and any other activities that keep our minds active are key components of preserving brain cells and staving off diseases such as Alzheimer’s or dementia.

Living a healthy, common sense lifestyle also helps to preserve your brain’s ability to function. That means visiting your doctor regularly, managing stress, exercising daily, eating a healthy diet and taking care of any health afflictions that you may have, such as diabetes or hypertension.

This research-based program, developed by Older Adult Services, can improve mental performance with innovative memory exercises.  This program has helped thousands of people improve their ability to remember everyday issues, such as where the car is parked, and maintain the ability to think fast and keep their brains healthy.
