Internships: Lee Memorial Health System has various nursing internship programs conducted throughout the year available to both new graduates and experienced nurses interested in pursuing a different specialty. Each program offers a unique combination of classroom and clinical experiences emphasizing the percepted experience provided with a clinical coach on the nursing unit.
Development and Training: Lee Memorial Health System uses research coaches at each acute care facility, supporting staff nurses in question practice and becoming involved in building nursing evidence. We are generating excitement around research questions and evidenced-based practice, engaging staff nurses in journal clubs and research projects at the System.
Clinical Practice Council: Comprised of a cross section of staff nurses, the Clinical Practice Council works with nursing’s senior leadership, education and a multidisciplinary committee to drive decisions on Lee Memorial Health System nursing and direct patient care. Nurses have input in decisions that affect the way work gets done.
