We've taken a unique approach to shortening the learning curve by assigning each new hire a Navigator to help him or her fit in. Navigators may be teammates who are peers, but are not direct supervisors - just another friendly, welcoming face.
No one is closer to the jobs at Lee Memorial Health System than the employees who do them day in and day out. So, it makes sense that the best ideas for improving our System and services come from within. All employees truly have a voice in shaping our System.
Whether done informally through discussions with their managers or our leadership team, or formally through vehicles like our annual Employee Satisfaction Survey, we take employees’ opinions, suggestions and concerns seriously and act on them.
New employees meet and greet several layers of leadership, including their immediate supervisors, system director or vice president during orientation so they know who to go to early on. New hires are also assigned Navigators to help them meet people, socialize and get acclimated with the System during their first few months.
