Chief Administrative Officer for Gulf Coast Medical Center
Joshua DeTillio, a member of the Senior Leadership Council, is the Chief Administrative Officer for Gulf Coast Medical Center. He joined Lee Memorial Health System in August 2011.
As CAO, Joshua is responsible for managing the facility budget, providing operational direction and oversight of the facility's leadership team, and collaborating with the hospital and health system team to achieve financial, operational, quality and safety, and strategic goals.
Joshua brings 13 years of experience in various areas of areas of the military and health care. He began his career with the United States Army serving as Platoon Leader and Battery Executive Officer. He also served in the Tennessee Army National Guard. After leaving the Army, Joshua joined Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Inc. as a Professional Healthcare Representative. Throughout his career, he also held a number of managerial positions, including serving as Associate Administrator and Ethics and Compliance Officer at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, Fla. and Chief Operating Officer for North Shore Medical Center in Miami, Fla. Joshua also served as Administrative Fellow at Cedars Medical Center in Miami, Fla. Most recently, Joshua served as Chief Operating Officer for St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Joshua received his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University, as well as a Master of Public Health from Harvard University. He also is a Fellow (FACHE) with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
