Dr. Antonucci, a member
of the Senior Leadership Council, joined Lee Memorial Health System
in September 2007.
Leadership Responsibilities
Dr. Antonucci actively participates with other LMHS leaders,
employees and the medical staff at Cape Coral Hospital to design the
best possible patient care for the patients and families we serve in
Southwest Florida.
Besides overseeing the operation of Cape Coral Hospital, Dr.
Antonucci serves as medical director for Cape Coral Hospital and Lee
Memorial Health System Obstetric Services.
Professional Experience
Dr. Antonucci has practiced in Lee County since 1983. During
that time, he helped to create Physicians Primary Care, which has
grown to 50 providers and more than 300 employees.
At Lee Memorial Hospital, Dr. Antonucci served as president of the
Medical Staff from 1989 -1990 and chairman of Obstetrics and
Gynecology from 1986 -1987. He also served as a member of the
Columbia Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees from 1996 -1998.
Education
Dr. Antonucci attended medical school at the University of
Miami and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at
Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. He also earned a
master’s in business administration from the University of South
Florida.
Memberships/Community Involvement
Dr. Antonucci is a
Diplomate with the American College of Physician Executives and the
American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a Fellow with
the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of
the American Fertility Society, Lee County Medical Society and
Florida Medical Society. He was a founding member of the Fort Myers
Imaginarium and a founding board member of Lee Independent Practice
Association.
Along with his numerous other professional memberships, Dr.
Antonucci has been a coach for Fort Myers Little League and Greater
Fort Myers Soccer Club.
