Scott Nygaard, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer for Physician Services
Dr. Nygaard, a member of the Hospital Executive Group, is the Chief Medical Officer for Physician Services. He joined Lee Memorial Health System in September 2010.
Leadership Responsibilities
Dr. Nygaard's responsibilities include overseeing of our employed and contracted physicians and acting as a liaison with our independent community physicians.
Professional Experience
Dr. Nygaard has extensive experience in hospital and group practice management with the Via Christi Health System in Wichita, Kan., and the Affinity Health System in Appleton, Wisc. His medical training is in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care.
Education
Dr. Nygaard is a Minnesota native who received his Bachelor of Science in from Hamline University, St. Paul, Minn. He attended medical school at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minn. He also earned master's degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, Minn.
