A Challenging Match

B. Thomas Golisano’s challenge to the Southwest Florida community is simple—he will personally match all gifts up to $20 million total made to Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida from May 14, 2012 until May 15, 2014.

The following gifts qualify for the matching challenge:

• Cash gifts of any size.
• Legally binding pledges must be booked to the campaign prior to May 15, 2014 but may be paid out over a period of up to five years from the date the pledge is made.
• Donations made to special events benefiting the capital campaign including sponsorships, auction revenues, ticket purchases and direct donations.
• Bonafide and legally binding gifts made through qualified estate notes, trusts and other irrevocable planned giving vehicles.
