LMHS
patients now have access to national and local healthcare news 24
hours per day.The System has teamed up with Dreamtime
Entertainment to offer patients the Healthcare News Network, a
flashy news program that offers a combination of national news and
health tips and local news about LMHS.
"HNN will feature our programs to help raise the profile of the
good work that LMHS does and to help tell the stories of the people
that we save," says Anne Rose, Executive Director/System Director,
Marketing, Business Development and Contracting.
HNN is a 60-minute program that features national stories about
medical discoveries and treatments. The 20 minutes specific to
LMHS are interspersed throughout the hour and will feature different
programs, events, procedures and other benefits of the System, says
Laura Ragain, Senior Project Manager for Video Production Services.
"We have so many stories to tell. For example, if a visitor
is waiting on news of a loved one and happens to see a story on our
blood centers, they may consider becoming a blood donor," she says.
HNN is now available at all LMHS hospitals. Every aspect of
the System will be featured on the news program in one way or
another, from the trauma center to the cafeterias to the gift shops,
she says.
The information on HNN will change monthly at first, and,
eventually, it will be updated every two weeks.
Some LMHS stories could also be played on the national segments
of HNN, she says. |
