Get Your Medications When You Leave The Hospital
Lee Memorial Hospital has a new and convenient feature—Lee Pharmacy, a fullservice
retail pharmacy located off the main lobby. HealthPark Medical Center
also will have one when the Lee Pharmacy opens in July. The new pharmacy will
be located across from the cafeteria in the atrium.
"One of the main goals for our new pharmacies is to make sure that patients leave the hospital with a complete understanding of their medications," explains Mark Collum, director of ambulatory pharmacy services for Lee Memorial Health System. "It is important for our patients to always understand why they were put on a new medication and to always know about any potential side effects." Patient education and satisfaction drives the pharmacists to deliver the highest level of customer service.
"We want our patients to develop personal relationships with our pharmacists," Mark says. "Our pharmacists will always go out of their way to help our patients learn about and feel comfortable with their prescription medications."
Leaving the hospital with prescriptions in hand adds a welcome convenience for our patients. The pharmacies also offer next-day home delivery via UPS.
Additionally, as part of Lee Memorial Health System, the pharmacists have access to patients' electronic health records, which allow the pharmacist to view all medications prescribed, ensuring another layer of patient safety.
Hours of operation for both Lee Pharmacy at Lee Memorial Hospital and the soon-to-open location at HealthPark Medical Center are: 9 a.m.-7 p.m.,
Monday through Saturday
