Know Where to Go for the Right Medical Care

Know Where to Go for the Right Medical Care

Injuries and illnesses can happen at any time. Knowing where to go for medical care ensures you receive the right care at the right time in the right place, and in the most efficient manner.

Lee Physician Group

Lee Memorial Health System has multiple Lee Physician Group offices, which are the best options for:

  • Health maintenance
  • Immunizations
  • Screenings/tests
  • Preventive care
  • Minor injuries/ complaints
  • Chronic disease management

For more information or to find a doctor, go to www.LeeMemorial.org/Lee-Physician-Group. To make an appointment, call 239-481-4111.

Convenient Care

When the need for prompt medical attention for nonlife- threatening issues arises, the three Convenient Care locations are great options. Whether you are unable to get a timely appointment with your primary care physician or you do not have a primary care or family physician, Convenient Care is open 7 a.m.-7 p.m., seven days a week to provide high quality medical treatment for adults and children.

Convenient Care is the right option for you if you experience:

  • Sprains
  • Cuts
  • Rashes
  • Cold/flu
  • Routine health issues
  • Work injuries
  • Broken bones—as long as the bone has not come through the skin

For more information, visit www.LeeMemorial.org/Convenient-Care.

Emergency Department

There are times when the emergency department (ED) is the right place for care. If you experience any of the following symptoms or issues, call 911 and proceed to the nearest ED:

  • Persistent chest pain
  • Trouble breathing
  • Fainting or unresponsiveness
  • Neck or back pain or severe pain
  • Broken bones—if the bone is visible
  • Drowning or near drowning
  • Poisoning or severe allergic reaction
  • Seizure
  • Stroke
  • Suicidal or homicidal thoughts
  • Life-threatening illness or injury

Did You Know?

It is important to note that calling 911 and using an ambulance does not guarantee faster ED treatment because all patients are assessed and treated based on the severity of their condition
