NCME
now offers 1 program a month as a TV program online. The
link is published on the library WEB site under "Continuing
Education", in "Physician's Education" section. Everyone
must register online, and then will be notified about new
programs via e-mail by NCME. The participants need to answer the questions online, and the certificate
will be available for print out instantly. Starting with
NCME #901, each program will have a program-specific test
and evaluation form published online. In order to
receive CME credit, learners must receive a passing grade of
70% or higher on the post-test. The test questions are
included at the end of the video presentation. Answers
should be recorded on the form. NCME still offers
credits for previously released programs (not older than 3
years).
Credits are free to physicians on staff at LMHS, but are
also available to doctors, who are not on staff (retired
physicians, for example). They will have to send a check for
$8.25 with each post-test to receive a certificate. If you
are on staff at LMHS, please call the library to obtain LMHS
identification number.
