RESEARCH
Our program is growing!
We are generating
excitement around research questions and evidence-based
practice here at LMHS. Our staff nurses on each campus are
involved in nursing research journal clubs and research projects
across a variety of practice areas. We have instituted research
coaches at each acute care facility to support our staff nurses
to question practice and become involved in building nursing
evidence.
Each year our Nursing Research Fellowship Program selects and
funds a group of LMHS nurses to develop nursing research
projects that seek to improve patient outcomes and develop the
science of nursing. Many of our past Fellows have had
their findings published and have presented their projects at
national nursing conferences.
Through research we
seek to develop
knowledge and design practices that will improve patient outcomes
and create a professional environment for our nurses.
