Powerful Tools for Caregivers
is a national program sustained by extensive collaborations with community-based
organizations, and as of 2009, has reached over 50,000 family caregivers in 28 states.
CARE has provided FREE outreach, education and supportive counseling to over
4,000 caregivers in
Southwest Florida. Lee Memorial Health System's CARE Program will utilize the PTC educational
program to provide family caregivers (in Lee,
Charlotte
, DeSoto & Glades Counties) with tools to increase their self-care and confidence.
