e-Prescribing Coming Soon to Acute Care Facilities
  • e-Prescribing is used to communicate prescription information electronically to the patients preferred community Pharmacy
  • This will replace paper prescriptions currently used at discharge with the exception of controlled substances
  • Additional information will be forthcoming.

ICD-10 Update

A new bill was signed into law on April 1, 2014, that will delay the ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure code sets go live to at least October 1, 2015. The ICD-10 Steering Committee will be evaluating LMHS specific ICD-10 program modifications over the next few months. While we wait for these modifications and further clarifications from CMS we will be re-evaluating the physician training deadlines and general staff education timelines. Providers who have already completed ICD-10 training will be asked to take an ICD-10 refresher course at some point in the future. Providers who have not taken the ICD-10 training should hold off on starting. We will be providing the organization with another update in July that will include any LMHS program modifications and regulatory updates.
