Alcoholism
Alcoholism is a disease
characterized by four symptoms which include:

Craving --
strong need or compulsion to drink.

Loss of Control
-- inability to quit drinking once you have started.

Physical Dependence
-- withdrawal symptoms when drinking has stopped.
-
Tolerance --
need for higher amounts of alcohol to get "high." Alcoholism
has little to do with willpower.
