Seat Belts were designed for adults.
Children should not be in a seat belt until they are 4’9”. Their back should fit against the back of the seat and their
knees should bend at the end of the seat with their feet touching
the floor. Until they are able to do this, they should be in a
booster seat which allows the safety belt to fit them properly.
