Safety belts need to be used even in vehicles with air bags. Air bags are designed to be used in conjunction with seat
belts.
Make sure the seat belt fits correctly.
It should fit low across the hips without riding up onto your
stomach. The shoulder part of the belt should be across the collarbone and chest, not against the neck or face. Do not place
the shoulder belt behind your back. In this position the belt is not
able to hold you in place.
