May Tips of the Month: National
Electrical Safety Month
According to statistics from the National Fire Prevention
Association and U.S. Consumer Products Safety Committee, 17% of
residential fires are related to electrical distribution or
appliances and equipment. Another 10.5% of fires were related to
heating and air conditioning system. These combined to cause and
average of 860 deaths, 4,785 injuries, and nearly 1.3 billion in
property damage annually.
