-
Young children should always go trick or
treating with an adult.
-
Halloween costumes should be light colored
or have reflective tape on the front and back. This is to
ensure that drivers can see the child.
-
Halloween masks should have large eyeholes
to ensure proper vision. It is best to use face paint,
instead of a mask.
-
Keep away from open flames and candles
(costumes can be extremely flammable).
-
Walk on sidewalks, not in the street.
-
Don't walk across the grass, but use the
walk way to the front door.
-
Plan your route and share it with your
family.
-
Visit homes that have the porch light on.
-
Carry a flashlight.
-
Carry a white bag for your candy or a bag
with reflective tape on it.
-
Do Not ride a bicycle. Your costume
could get caught in it.
-
Eat only wrapped candy, and nothing that
is homemade or fruit.
-
Never eat anything before your parents
have had a chance to examine all your treats.
-
Never pick up candies from the street as
they might be poisoned candies or the treats of another
child. So don't touch them.
-
Do not run in your costume. You
could trip and hurt yourself.
