Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 noon

The Lee Memorial Health System’s Child Development Centers are 20 years old! A celebration is being planned for all current and former students of the first employer-sponsored childcare program in the county. The event will be held Saturday, November 17, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. until noon at Centenniel Park in downtown Fort Myers.

The first Child Development Center opened at Lee Memorial Hospital in December 1986 with three babies. That number quickly grew and locations were added at HealthPark Medical Center and Cape Coral Hospital. “We’ve cared for more than 1300 children over the last 20 years,” said JoAnne Fuciu, System Director of the Child Development Centers. “We would love to see as many of them at this event as we can.”
The celebration will include fun booths, games, a picnic, and prizes. Special guest performer Jack Hartmann, a nationally recognized children’s singer, songwriter and author, will lead children in a sing-along.
For more information or to RSVP, please call the Child Development Center at Lee Memorial Hospital, 239-332-5152, HealthPark, 481-8669 or Cape Coral, 772-4311.
