Physical Therapist: Physical Therapists
(PTs)
are health care professionals who diagnose and treat people of all
ages who have pain, limited loss of mobility, decrease in function,
and decrease in strength. PTs graduate from an accredited
physical therapy program. PTs have a bachelor's, master's, or
doctoral degree. They are required to pass a National Licensure
exam and are licensed in each state that they practice as a physical

Physical Therapist Assistant: Physical
Therapist Assistants (PTAs) provide therapy services under the
supervision of a physical therapist. PTAs are required to
complete a two year associate's degree. They are licensed,
certified, or registered in most states. Licensure is required in

Occupational Therapist: Occupational
Therapists (OTs) are skilled professionals who help individuals
achieve independence in all facets of their lives. It gives
people the "skills for the job of living" necessary for independent
and satisfying lives. OTs graduate from an accredited
Occupational Therapy program. OTs have a bachelor's, master's,
or doctoral degree. They are required to pass a National
Licensure exam and are licensed in each state that they practice
occupational therapy. (American Occupational

Occupational Therapy Assistant:
Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) provide occupational therapy
services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
COTAs are required to complete a two year associate's degree.
They are licensed in the state of Florida. (American

Speech-Language Pathologists-
Speech-language Pathologists (SLPs) are educated to assess speech and language
development and to treat language and speech disorders.
Speech-language pathologists can also help people with swallowing
disorders. SLPs graduate from an accredited program and earn
a master's or doctoral degree. They are required to pass a
National Licensure exam. SLPs hold a license in the state of
