Educational Grants and
Scholarships
Annually, the Cape Coral Hospital Auxiliary, Lee Memorial Auxiliary
and Gulf Coast Medical Center Auxiliary budget over $100,000
combined to assist those needing
financial assistance with careers in health care. Grants are available through an application process to employees, volunteers and their
family members, as well as to prospective employees from the
community through an application process. The career they are
pursuing must be one which the student can apply to LMHS upon
completion of his or her studies, as there is a work requirement
associated with the grant.
The Auxiliary Grant Fund
receives donations from community-minded individuals in
appreciation of services, memorials or for a special occasion,
as well as numerous fund raising enterprises, and these monies
are placed in this fund for education grants. These monies are
donated to LMHS and are administered through the Human Resources
department and an Advisory Committee. Applications are accepted
April 1 through May 31 annually. Preference will be given to
individuals who volunteer at any of our facilities.

The Cape Coral Hospital
Auxiliary also manages a Restricted Nursing Educational Fund
that applies only to nurses who are advancing their careers.
Funds are allocated through the Human Resources department by
applying for a grant as described above.
