Stereotactic Biopsy
This procedure is done by the radiologist or surgeon in the
Mammography Suite by placing a needle into the breast under
computerized mammographic guidance. Multiple tissue samples are
taken and sent to pathology. There is no need for an open surgery.
Stereotactic biopsy is accurate, cost-effective and only takes about 30 minutes.
It requires only a Band-Aid, leaves no scar and you can leave
immediately after
the procedure.
