To Help You Prepare for Your Examination
Do not wear deodorant, lotion, creams, talcum powder or baby powder
under your arms or on your breasts the day of your exam, as these
products may interfere with the quality of your exam. Aluminum
flecks in some deodorants and powders can resemble calcifications.
If you have had a previous mammography exam performed, please notify
the office when scheduling your appointment. These studies are
helpful in comparing your breast tissue to assess changes. Bring
as much information as possible with you about your previous breast exams, including dates and locations of mammographies, other breast imaging,
biopsies and/or treatments.
Our radiologist will interpret your films and will call or
write to your physician with your results within one to two business
days. Please contact your physician about your examination results.
A letter will be mailed to you after your exam to notify you of
your results.
