decorated room, parents experience labor, celebrate delivery, and

Our nurses are experts in the care of mothers and their
babies. They offer specialized care before, during, and after your
baby is born as well as excellent nursing advice. Should you require
caesarean section delivery, your nurse remains with you through the
entire procedure. Interpreter services are available to
non-English speaking patients and their families.
You, along with help and guidance from your doctor or nurse midwife, choose the birth experience that's right for you. Whatever
your choice, we are here to help make waiting for baby a happy time.

The Children's Hospital of Southwest
Florida located at HealthPark Medical Center
is one of 11 hospitals statewide certified as a Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center.
Services include Level II & III Neonatal Intensive Care Units and
Neonatal Transport Teams. We offer the Regional Perinatal
Intensive Care Centers Program. The goal of the program is to deliver top-of-the-line medical care to
women with high-risk pregnancies and to sick/preterm newborns.
Studies have indicated that outcomes can be greatly improved by
providing this specialized health care to pregnant women
and newborns who are at high risk.
